I have been teaching general education writing, literature, and communications courses since 2000. I currently teach full-time at Community College of Philadelphia and part-time at Rutgers University-Camden. I specialize in service learning, correctional education, and working with students in transition, especially those who are academically underprepared.

favorite booksanything by elijah anderson and sudhir venkatesh (sociologists), poetry by stafford, bly, eliot, plath, bukowski.... nonfiction/theory by or on french libertines, poststructuralists, structuralists, medical anthropology and the history of medicine....anything on critical pedagogy or experiential education or transformative learning, especially angela davis, dewey, freire etc... fiction? hardly ever touch the stuff.
